Hello!

I’m guessing if you’ve landed here it’s safe to say we share a penchant for luxury hotels. If where you stay is important to you then you are definitely in the right place. My raison d’etre has always been to seek out and identify those hotels that stand out from the crowd.

When I travel I want to stay at a property that has made me so welcome it becomes difficult to leave, be that a five star luxury hotel or a family run agriturismo. The same applies to dining, fine dining has its place but so does the age old trattoria which is buzzing with locals. Mostly, it comes down to the people. In my opinion, what really sets a property apart is the quality of its staff. Smiles on faces and the feeling that nothing is too much trouble create an enjoyable atmosphere, safari guides that are enthusiastic- keen to show you the wildlife and the local community, people that want you to see their part of the world and delight in giving you the best adventure possible. I find I’m often drawn to the smaller boutique hotels usually with a fascinating tale to tell; I’m a sucker for a good story.

I have stayed in many hotels where afterwards I check out and instantly forget the experience. This is not what I’m looking for. I hope if you stay in any of the properties in the Passage To Luxury Collection they will remain in your mind for years to come just as they have in mine.
