Palacio Solecio
Malaga // Spain
Palacio Solecio is an eighteenth century former palace which has been sensitively restored and transformed into a stunning 68 room boutique hotel perfectly located in the old town of Malaga.
The public areas of this hotel are beautiful and it encompasses all that a boutique hotel should offer including an intimate bar area. A small gym is also available. The happy staff are always on hand to help and give advice on where to eat, what to do in the city and answer any queries. Entry level rooms are small but offer all the usual luxury amenities.
Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant, Balausta and is a feast fit to serve in a palace. A buffet breakfast with an excellent continental choice is accompanied by a full menu of eggs, pancakes etc. The restaurant itself is a sight to behold and features a lantern ceiling and stunning archways looking up to the upper floors of the hotel. We didn’t eat in at night although there was always a good atmosphere and Michelin- starred chef José Carlos García’s cuisine is certainly enticing.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and one I would highly recommend if visiting Malaga.
